  • 1 lb. green split peas, picked over
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1 Tbs. dried parsley
  • 1 tsp. dried Thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 8 C. cold water
  • 3/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salf

Put all ingredients in crockpot and mix well. Cover and cook on high for 3- 4 hours or until peas are tender. Stir occasionally.
