Everyone loves caramel apples so why not make the best ones just in time for Halloween? These sweet and simple apples will be the hit of every fall get-together you attend!

6 apples


  • 6 red apples
  • 6 craft sticks
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1/4 C. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1/2 C. heavy cream
  • 2 T. unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 C. sprinkles (we used Halloween edition)

Lightly butter a sheet of wax paper and set aside. Remove the stems from each apple and replace with a craft stick. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil and stir constantly until sugar has dissolved. Continue to cook for 10 minutes, swirling the pan instead of stirring. Remove from heat and whisk in cream, butter, vanilla, and salt. Return to low heat and slowly whisk until smooth. Let cool for five minutes. Pour sprinkles into a shallow dish. Dip each apple in caramel sauce and roll in sprinkles. Transfer to prepared wax paper and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
