Donuts are not only a great breakfast pastry, they also make a fabulously sweet dessert. You can do no wrong walking into a party carrying a tray of these Stan's copycat glazed donuts.

  • Donuts
  • 1 can biscuit dough
  • 1 qt. vegetable oil
  • Glaze
  • 2 C. confectioners' sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 T. hot water
  • sprinkles

Heat oil in a large pot to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix glaze ingredients together until smooth.
Separate biscuits and cut circles in the center of each disk. Roll each cut out into eight balls. Place donuts two at a time into hot oil until golden. Flip onto other side and fry again until golden.
Scoop donuts out with a slotted spoon and place on paper towel lined wire rack. Repeat the frying process for the rest of the donuts. In between each batch, coat the hot donuts in glaze on both sides by dunking each side quickly. Set them on the second bare wire rack to let the excess drip off onto the paper towels underneath.
Let them cool before adding sprinkles.
