Ingredients

  • 3 C. flour, divided
  • 1 ¾ C. brown sugar, divided
  • 3 sticks butter, softened and divided
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ C. pecans, chopped
  • ½ C. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Dash salt
  • 1/3 C. half-and-half

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together 2 sticks of butter, sugar, and ¾ cup of brown sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla until smooth. In a separate bowl, briefly combine 2 cups of flour, baking powder, and salt and mix this in with your wet ingredients. Add in half-and-half and mix thoroughly. Pour batter into a greased baking dish and set aside. Prepare your topping by mixing together 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 stick of butter, cinnamon, and pecans. Sprinkle this crumble over your batter and bake for 40 minutes. Allow time to cool before serving.
