Lightly breaded and flavored with garlic, these steaks are simple, yet delicious.

  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 C. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. chopped garlic
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 12 oz. strip steaks, excess fat removed, 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 C. flour
  • 2 C. plain dried bread crumbs

Beat eggs in mixing bowl. Add 1/2 C. olive oil, garlic, and dash of salt and pepper, and beat well. Dredge steaks in flour, shaking off excess. Dip steaks in first, egg wash and then in bread crumbs. Sauté each steak on both sides in 1 Tbs. of remaining olive oil to desired doneness. Remove steaks. Serve.
