Steak Tacos with Lime and Cilantro

Get the fiesta started with this so-fast dinner idea. Treat yourself to steak tacos brimming with the bright flavors of Mexican cuisine. Top your taco off with extra shredded cheese for a little indulgence.

12 tacos


  • 1/2 C. onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 2 C. cooked steak
  • one 7.5-oz. can taco sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 12 taco shells
  • sliced avocado
  • sliced radish
  • sliced lime

In a saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender but not brown.  Stir in steak, taco sauce, salt, and garlic salt.  Simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 15 minutes.  Meanwhile, place taco shells on baking sheet.  Warm in 350 degree oven for 5 to 10 minutes.  Spoon steak mix into taco shells, and top with avocado, radish, cilantro and a squeeze of lime.
