Directions

Melt butter in medium saucepan. Stir in steel cut oats. Cook until oats give off a nutty toasty appearance and scent, about 3 minutes. Add hot water to hot oats. Cover and let cook for 30 minutes. Do not stir. When done, open the cover and stir in milk. Stir until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency. Serve with desired toppings such as blueberries, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon or pancake syrup.

  • Cooking shows right now are really famous. But some Food Network stars are a little more forthcoming than others on writing up recipes, and instead of buying cookbooks you can get an app that will download a Food Network recipe straight to your mobile phone, if you sign up for their mobile website. It could be Iron Chef, Rachael Ray recipes, Paula Deen, although for some of the ingredients, you might need a payday loans worth for a few meals worth of food. You have to love some of this mobile phone stuff.
