Strawberry Delight
Ingredients
- 1 18 1/2 oz. yellow or white cake mix
- 1 3 oz. box strawberry gelatin
- 2 C. boiling water
- 1 16 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
- 1 8 oz. carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
Directions
Bake cake according to pkg. directions in a greased and floured 13x2x2-inch baking pan. Prick cake all over with toothpick. Mix strawberry gelatin with hot water and stir until dissolved. Pour 1 C. of gelatin mix over pricked cake. Mix remaining cup of gelatin with strawberries.
Pour over cake. Spread with whipped topping and refrigerate until serving time. Will keep for several days.
Variation: Use angel food cake in place of white or yellow cake.
