I was going through my grandmother's recipe box and came across this wonderful recipe. She used to make this for us when we were young.

Ingredients

  • 2 small pkg. strawberry gelatin
  • 2 C. hot water
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 bag mini marshmallows
  • 2 envelopes of whipped topping mix
  • 1 large pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 C. crushed walnuts (or any nut of your choice)

Directions

Mix jello with water. Let it set till slightly thickened. Add strawberries and pineapple. Pour into a 13x9x2-inch oblong pan and refrigerate until firmly set. Make topping according to package directions. Combine with softened cream cheese. Place marshmallows on top of gelatin. Spread topping mixture over the marshmallows. Sprinkle with crushed walnuts on top. Refrigerate until firm.

  • This recipe calls for adding strawberries, but does not list them as an ingredient. I would like to know how much strawberries to use?
