- 1 C. strawberries, fresh or canned
- 1/2 C. butter
- 3 C. confectioners' sugar
- dash of orange or lemon juice (optional)
Cream butter. Add part of the sifted sugar. Add strawberries which have been mashed. Add remainder of sugar. Stir until well-blended. Spread on cake. A little orange or lemon juice can be added to the frosting.
