Stuffed Mushrooms

These stuffed mushrooms make a yummy appetizer! This recipe is very easy to make and is a big hit at parties. Some days I make these for my family, and we have a salad with them.

Ingredients

  • 1 lg. container fresh mushrooms
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 med. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 sprinkle garlic salt
  • 1/4 C. Italian bread crumbs
  • 1-2 tsp. minced parsley
  • 3 Tbs. Parmesan cheese
  • shredded cheese (optional)

Directions

Wash mushrooms, pat dry. Remove stems and chop fine. Saute onion, garlic salt and chopped mushroom stems in melted butter. Add bread crumbs, parsley and cheese. Stir and use to stuff mushroom caps. Place in lightly greased pan. Sprinkle shredded cheese over tops if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
