Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of ciabatta bread
  • ½ medium red onion, sliced in rings
  • ½ lb. skirt steak
  • ½ C. spinach
  • ½ C. shredded provolone cheese
  • Marinade
  • 1 small habanero pepper, minced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. fresh parsley, minced

Whisk the ingredients of the marinade together and coat the meat with the mixture. Let this marinade for at least one hour (up to one day). Heat the skillet on medium-high and cook the steak (this should take about 10 minutes or less). Cut the bread roll in half and stuff it with the cheese, onions, spinach and meat. OPTIONAL: Brush the top of the bread with some melted butter and bake on 375 degrees for 5-10 minutes until the cheese melty.
