Stunning Cranberry Pear Crisp Recipe

  • 4 large ripe pears, cored, peeled and sliced (about 4 C.)
  • 2 Tbs. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1/2 C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. flour
  • 3 Tbs. margarine
  • 1 C. Post Select Cranberry Almond Crunch Cereal, lightly crushed

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Toss pear slices, 2 Tbs. sugar and 1/2 tsp. of the cinnamon in large bowl. Place in 8-inch square baking dish. Mix 1/2 C. sugar, flour and remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in large bowl; cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cereal. Sprinkle over pears. Bake 30 minutes or until pears are tender. Serve warm.

Tip: For a different flavor try substituting Bartlett Pears for the apples.
