Ingredients

  • 1 C. raisins
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1/4 C. margarine
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, (slightly beaten)
  • 3/4 C. unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 Tbs. sugar substitute
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, cook the first 5 ingredients until margarine is melted; continue cooking for 3 minutes.

  2. Add all remaining ingredients and mix completely.

  3. Spread into an 8-inch-square baking dish that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25–30 minutes or until lightly browned.
