  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 4 C. pears, sliced
  • ¼ C. water
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • Dash salt
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling

Prepare and bake cake according to box directions. When you take the cake out of the oven, poke holes throughout and pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over cake. In a large skillet, whisk together brown sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Heat until bubbly, stir in pears, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Spoon pears out of skillet and set aside while you pour the remaining sauce over cake. Arrange pear slices however you prefer on cake. Refrigerate for a few hours to set up and serve with caramel sauce.
