This is a quick and easy sangria using common kitchen ingredients. We make this for summer time cookouts & barbecues.

  • 3 fresh oranges, preferably naval oranges
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1 peach, pitted and cut into slices
  • 1/2 C. maraschino cherries and juice
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. lemon juice
  • 1 C. dark rum
  • 1 bottle Pinot Grigio

To make lemon simple syrup: In a microwave safe measuring cup or small bowl, combine sugar and lemon juice. Microwave on high for 1 minute; stir. Microwave an additional 1 minute. Stir. Continue microwaving until all sugar has been dissolved. Refrigerate until ready to use. In a large pitcher, juice the three oranges and add fruit. Pour in rum and white wine. Stir vigorously to combine and break down some of the fruit. Pour in the lemon simple syrup. Stir & refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve in wine glasses over ice and be sure to spoon some of the slices of fruit into each glass.
