Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat for two minutes. After two minutes have elapsed, add the olive oil. Season the pork chops liberally with salt and pepper.

When the oil has begun to smoke, gently place the chops into the skillet. Turn the heat to high and sear the chops for two minutes per side.

Reduce the heat to medium, adding the orange juice and garlic. Turn the chops once or twice for to coat them in the mixture.

Add the chicken broth and turn heat to low. Cover the chops and cook for approximately 15 minutes, or until the meat is tender to the touch. Remove the chops to a dish covered with aluminum foil.

Turn the heat to medium-high, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any brown bits. Simmer until the liquid's volume has reduced by half.

Add butter and melt. Pour the sauce over the chops just prior to serving.
