  • 1 lb. mostaccioli
  • 1 1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 jar meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 15-oz. carton ricotta cheese
  • 2 C. shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 C. grated Romano cheese

Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a large, shallow baking dish. Prepare pasta according to box directions. Crumble sausage and cook in a large skillet until no longer pink. Drain the fat and add sauce and pasta. In a large bowl, whisk together egg, ricotta, and half of the mozzarella. Spoon half of mixture into your prepared baking dish and layer with remaining mozzarella and pasta mixture. Cover and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with Romano cheese. Bake for another five minutes.
