3 dozen meatballs


  • ¾ pound ground beef
  • ¾ pound ground turkey
  • 1 minced onion
  • ¼ cup egg substitute
  • ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons dry yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar

In a bowl, combine the beef, turkey, minced onion, egg substitute and breadcrumbs. Mix well and then shape into 1-inch balls. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the meatballs. You may have to cook the meatballs in batches. Remove the meatballs from the skillet. Rinse the skillet and then add the ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and mustard. Bring the sauce to a boil, add the meatballs again, and reduce the heat. Simmer for 5 minutes.
