Sweet and Sour Chicken
Ingredients
- 4-8 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 1 egg beaten
- cornstarch
- Oil
- Sauce:
- 3/4 C. sugar
- 4 Tbs. catsup
- 1/2 C. vinegar
- 1 Tbs. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Directions
Dip the chicken breasts into the egg, then roll them in the cornstarch. In a small amount of oil, fry the chicken until just browned. Place the chicken in a shallow baking pan, pour the sauce over it, then bake it uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 hour, turning the chicken every 15 minutes.
To make sauce, mix all ingredients together.
