  • 1 pkg. goat cheese, plain
  • ½ sm. carton raspberries
  • 6 lg. strawberries
  • 1 pkg. sugar, powdered
  • 1 loaf French bread

Begin this simple dish by slicing the French bread into 1-inch slices and toasting them until golden brown. Open the package of goat cheese and soften in a microwave- safe bowl for 5-7 seconds. Add the raspberries to the bowl and mash the mixture until the raspberries are well incorporated. Add a layer of powdered sugar and mix once more. Slice the strawberries and set aside. Spread the goat cheese mixture over the toasted bread slices. Then add a layer of sliced strawberries. Finally, top off with a powdered sugar garnish.

(Note: raspberries and strawberries can be substituted for any other berry like blueberries, blackberries, etc.)
