  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 C. fresh blueberries
  • ¾ C. granulated sugar
  • ¾ C. whole milk
  • ¼ C. shortening
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • Topping
  • ⅓ C. flour
  • ½ C. granulated sugar
  • ¼ C. butter, diced
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cream together the sugar and shortening in a mixing bowl. Add in the egg and whisk well. Add in the milk and mix again. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold in the blueberries. Pour the batter into a greased pan. Combine the flour, sugar, and cinnamon and start adding in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Pour the topping over the batter and bake for 50 minutes.
