Who isn't familiar with the classic dessert that skewers a crunchy apple drizzled in caramel onto a stick? Now this treat can be enjoyed in the form of a dump cake complete with a moist yellow cake topping.

  • 3-4 C. Granny Smith Apples, cored and diced
  • 1/2 C. Bottled Caramel Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbs. Granulated Sugar
  • 1 15.25 oz. box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 C. Sprite

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the apples and caramel sauce until apples are fully coated. Spread the apple-caramel mixture evenly over the bottom of a large crockpot. Sprinkle the caramel-coated apples with the cinnamon and sugar. Spread the dry cake mix evenly over the filling, then evenly drizzle the cake mix with Sprite. Cook on low for 2-3 hours until cake turns golden-brown.
