  • 3 C. milk
  • ¼ C. butter
  • ¼ C. flour
  • ¼ C. celery, chopped
  • ¼ C. onion, diced
  • 3 C. corn, frozen
  • 2 C. potatoes, diced and boiled
  • ¾ C. thick-cut bacon, cooked and diced (reserve some for garnish)
  • 1½ C. heavy cream
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. white pepper
  • 1 chicken bullion cube

Melt the butter in a large saucepan and saute the celery and onions until they’re tender and fragrant. Add the flour and stir for about a minute until it thickens. Add in the milk and bouillon cube. Add the sugar and salt and bring it to a boil. And the potatoes. Blend the soup to make it smooth and return it to the pot. Add the heavy cream, bacon, and corn. Continue to stir and simmer for another 10 minutes on medium heat. Garnish with chopped parsley and bacon.
