Ingredients

  • 2 C. flour, unsifted
  • 6 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 C. yellow cornmeal
  • 2 C. milk
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 Tbs. melted shortening

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients. Add milk, eggs, shortening. Stir enough to blend well. Pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.
