  • 4 C. walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 (16-oz.) pkg. frozen phyllo, thawed
  • 1 C. butter, melted
  • 1 (12-oz.) jar honey

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a large bowl, Mix finely chopped walnuts, sugar and cinnamon. Cut phyllo into rectangles and place 1 sheet on a greased 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Brush with melted butter. Repeat with phyllo and butter to make 5 more layers. For last layer, spread walnut mixture. Brush top with 3 more layers of phyllo and butter. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until top is golden brown. In a saucepan over medium heat, heat honey until honey. Cool baklava for at least 1 hour and then garnish with honey before serving.
