  • ¾ C. + 3 T. sugar
  • 12-15 plums, seeded and sliced
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 C. all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • Dash salt
  • ½ stick butter
  • ¼ C. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, toss plums with 3/4 cup of sugar, cornstarch, orange zest, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, combine remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Use a fork to add in butter until combined and crumbly. Briefly stir in milk and egg. In a greased baking dish, transfer plums, spread evenly, and spoon batter mixture over top. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes until top is golden brown and juices are bubbly.
