Swiss Steak
Ingredients
- 1 lb. chuck steak
- 1 lg. can crushed tomatoes
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 Tbs. oil
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Make sauce: Brown the garlic in 1 Tbs.oil. Add crushed tomatoes, salt and oregano and let simmer about 20 minutes. In the meantime, brown steak in remaining oil. Place steak in pan, add crushed tomato sauce mixture and cover with aluminum foil. Cook about 1 hour or until done.
