Serving Size / Yield
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 1 loaf French bread (wide, oval shape)
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 2 cups grated Monterrey Jack cheese (or Colby Jack or cheddar)
- Diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced jalapenos
Start by browning beef in a skillet on medium heat. Remove from heat, drain grease, and stir in taco seasoning.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Slice french bread in half along the length.
There should be a top and bottom piece.
Spread salsa on the inside of both halves of bread.
Place ground beef on top.
Put cheese on top and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Add diced tomatoes and jalapenos on top.
Cut into slices and serve.
