Taco Salad

Slightly crush the taco chips before tossing with the salad mixture, and you'll have the best accompaniment to a barbecue ever!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg. Taco seasoning (any kind)
  • 2 large tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 head lettuce, torn into pieces
  • 1 bottle Kraft Russian Dressing
  • 1 C. shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or farmer's cheese)
  • 1 large bag Taco chips, any kind (I use "Zesty Cheese")

Directions

Brown the beef, and drain any remaining fat. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over, and stir in well. Set aside. In a very large bowl, toss the tomatoes, peppers, onion, lettuce and cheese with the dressing. Add the meat mixture and toss again.
