  • 16 jalapeno chilies
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups crushed tortilla chips
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese plus extra to garnish
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Hot sauce to taste

Preheat your oven to 400F.
Split the jalapenos lengthwise, starting from the stem and down to the tip. Evenly space on a baking sheet and bake until tender, about 15 minutes.
Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium heat. Add the beef and taco seasoning to the skillet, stirring until the beef is completely cooked through, about 7 to 8 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream cheese and shredded cheese until cheese is melted, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Stir in the crushed tortilla chips until well combined.
Spoon the beef mixture into jalapeno halves, spreading out evenly before topping off with the extra cheese. Place back in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy!
