Tangy Cucumbers With Onion and Dill

This cucumber salad highlights the flavor of dill by contrasting it with the sourness of yogurt and the sweet heat of onion.

Ingredients

  • 3 cucumbers, sliced thinly
  • 1 med. sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 C. white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 C. sour cream
  • 1/2 C. plain yogurt
  • 5 Tbs. fresh snipped dill
  • white pepper to taste

Directions

In a bowl, make alternating layers of cucumbers and sliced onion, sprinkling with chopped dill. Combine sour cream, sugar, white wine vinegar, yogurt, salt and white pepper in a separate bowl. Pour over cucumbers. Let chill at 2-4 hours.
