Tarragon Stuffing

Tarragon is a unique herb that is often forgotten, but should not be overlooked. Its distinct flavor makes it ideal for stuffing.

Ingredients

  • 2 C. minced sweet onion
  • 1 1/2 C. butter
  • 10 C. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbs. dried tarragon
  • 1/2 C. chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 C. chicken or turkey broth

Directions

Melt the butter with the onion. Combine with the bread crumbs, tarragon, parsley, salt and ground pepper. Add the broth until it's as moist as you wish. Pack stuffing into a turkey or chicken cavity. Remove stuffing promptly once bird is cooked according to the directions. Or bake the stuffing in a large casserole dish at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
