  • ½ pound of bowtie pasta, cooked to box directions
  • ½ pound of chicken breast, butterflied, then halved
  • ½ cup of parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • salt and pepper

In a small bowl, combine Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder and a bit of salt and pepper. Rub this seasoning mixture into each piece of chicken.
In a large saucepan, heat olive oil, lemon juice and garlic over medium heat, then cook the pieces of chicken, turning over the chicken pieces after 5-7 minutes on each side, until all pieces are evenly cooked on both sides. Once cooked all the way through, dust each sides of the pieces with parmesan cheese, then remove from the saucepan.
In the saucepan, melt butter and stir into what is left over from cooking the chicken, then pour the cooked pasta into it. Quickly sauté on medium-high heat, as you sprinkle the leftover seasoning mixture on top.
Once the pasta is evenly coated in butter and seasoning, place the chicken pieces back into the saucepan on top of the pasta. Place lemon slices on top of the chicken, then keep covered over low heat until ready to serve.
