Tasty Breakfast Tart
Serving Size / Yield
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 C. white cheddar (shredded)
- 1 C. golden yellow cheddar (shredded)
- 4-5 strips of cooked ham (cut into pieces)
- 4 large eggs
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 onion (chopped)
Preheat oven to 400˚F.
In a large bowl whisk eggs together. Add cheese, ham and onion to eggs.
Grease ceramic dish (9-inch) with butter. Line the inside of the dish with parchment paper. Place thawed puff pastry onto the parchment lined pie dish.
Fold all the edges inward, about 1/2 inch, and press the open edge with the back of a fork to seal.
Add egg mixture to the pastry. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
Bake tart for 15 to 20 minutes or until puff pastry is golden brown.
Remove tart from oven, let cool.
Once tart has cooled, top with basil, slice and serve.
