This recipe is absolutely the best way to start your morning. It is a treat for the whole family and has three essential breakfast ingredients: cheese, potatoes and bacon.

  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 2 lbs of refrigerated hash brown potatoes
  • 1 lb of bacon, cooked, drained and cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup onions, diced
  • 3 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Beat all eggs in a bowl. Beat in milk, garlic powder, mustard, salt and pepper into same bowl and set aside. In slow cooker, layer potatoes and sprinkle about 1/3 of onions. Top with 1 cup of cheese. Repeat 2 more times to create 3 layers. Pour egg mixture over layers. Cook on low for 7 hours.
