Ingredients
- 1 C. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 C. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lg. egg yolk
- 2 C. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2/3 milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 C. chopped nuts
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Stir butter, brown sugar, vanilla and egg yolk in large bowl until well mixed. Stir in flour and salt. Press dough in ungreased 13 X 9-inch pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until very light brown. The crust will be soft. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over hot crust. Let stand about 5 minutes or until soft; spread evenly. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool 30 minutes in pan on wire rack. Cut into 8 rows by 4 rows while still warm.
