  • 3 lb. chuck roast, cubed
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. ground sage
  • 4 onions, sliced
  • ½ C. corn starch
  • 1 oz. dry onion soup mix
  • 3 C. water
  • ¼ C. fresh parsley
  • Instant rice

Directions

Cube the chuck roast and place the pieces into the bottom of the slow cooker. Peel the onions and slice them. Add them into the slow cooker. Add in the dry onion soup mix, water, ground sage and pepper. Stir everything up. Cook on a low setting for 8-10 hours. Meanwhile cook the instant rice. Add in the cornstarch to thicken the stew after it has cooked. Serve over rice and top it off with the fresh parsley. Enjoy!
