  • Beef tips
  • 1 lb. Sirloin tips, chunked
  • 3 C. beef broth
  • ΒΌ C. red wine
  • 1 medium white onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbs. salt
  • 1 Tbs. pepper
  • 2 Tbs. all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbs. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbs. cornstarch
  • White or Jasmine rice (cooked according to the package)

Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package and set aside in a covered bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and flour together. Coat the beef tips and brown them in the saucepan with the olive oil. Throw in the onions and cook them until they are softened. Remove the contents of the pan and set aside. Pour the wine into the pan and stir. Mix in the beef broth and bring it to a boil. Put the meat and veggies back into the pan and cook on low heat for an hour. Mix in the cornstarch and stir until the mixture thickens. Serve atop the rice.
