  • 2 ½ C. rotini pasta, cooked and drained
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • ½ stick butter
  • ¼ C. flour
  • 2 ½ C. milk
  • 1 C. sharp cheddar, grated
  • 2 (6 oz.) tuna steaks, each 1 inch thick
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (10 oz.) can sweet peas, drained

In a medium skillet, sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Add your tuna steaks, season with salt and pepper, and cook on each side for about 5-8 minutes until center is opaque. Remove from heat, allow to cool, cube, and set aside. For the sauce, melt your butter in a saucepan and add flour. Once combined, gradually stir in milk, and simmer on low as you add cheddar. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce thickens. Combine cooked pasta, tuna, sauce, and peas until everything is evenly coated and transfer to a baking dish. With your oven at 400, bake for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
