Make your own tortilla chips and even outdo the store-brand by using tequila and lime for your chips! Add as much or as little salt as you want to craft the perfect tortilla chips and serve with salsa.

  • 6 tortillas
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup tequila
  • 2 tablespoons tequila
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Sea salt to taste

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Combine the sugar, tequila, and lime juice in a pan over medium-high heat. Bring the pan to a boil, then reduce the heat. Simmer for 10 minutes. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges. Arrange the tortillas evenly on the baking sheet and spray the chips with olive oil spray. Brush the chips with the tequila mixture and sprinkle the chips with sea salt. Bake for 8 minutes, but turn the pan half way through.
