Teriyaki Swordfish

This is a unique way to prepare swordfish steaks. This recipe only has 5 ingredients, so it's super easy!

  • 1 C. sake or dry sherry
  • 3/4 C. soy sauce
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • four 8-oz. swordfish steaks
  • green onions, chopped

Prepare teriyaki sauce: Ina small saucepan, combine sake or sherry, soy sauce, and sugar.  Stir until sugar dissolves.  Simmer 5 minutes and set aside.  Spray cold grill with nonstick cooking spray.  Preheat grill or broiler to medium heat.  Brush fillets with sauce.  Grill fish for 3 minutes on each side and brush again with sauce.  Broil until fillets are cooked through and deep golden brown, about 1 minute per side.  Transfer to serving plate and sprinkle with green onions.
