Bacon makes everything better! Get everyone to eat their Brussel sprouts this Thanksgiving by throwing in some lovely bits of crispy bacon. This will be a side dish you will be making for holiday parties to come.

  • 4 strips bacon, thick-cut
  • 2 T. margarine
  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove bacon and place on a paper towel-lined plate. Chop the bacon roughly. In the same pan with bacon fat, melt margarine over high heat. Add onions and Brussels sprouts and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until sprouts are golden brown. Season with salt and pepper, to taste, and toss bacon back into pan. Serve immediately.
