  • 1 C. water
  • 2 1/2 T. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 T. vegetable oil
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 quarts oil for frying
  • 1/2 C. white sugar, or to taste
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

In a small saucepan, bring water, 2 1/2 T. sugar, salt, and vegetable oil to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until dough forms. Mold dough into strips or shape of your choosing. Heat frying oil in a deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375°F and add dough. Fry until golden and drain on paper towels. In a medium-size bowl, combine 1/2 C. sugar and cinnamon. Roll drained churros into mixture and serve.
