- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- ½ cup milk
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup Icing sugar for dusting

Directions
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a little butter to grease the round baking pan. Take a bowl and add in the butter and sugar and cream together until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Now, beat in one egg at a time and pour the vanilla essence into the mixture. Mix well to form a batter. Now add the baking powder into the batter and pour in the milk to make the batter less thick. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Dust some icing sugar on top and serve cooled or semi-hot.
