The Best Italian Stuffed Shells

- 1 package of large stuffing shells
- 1lb ground beef
- 2 cups spinach
- 1lb ground sausage
- 1 jar of marinara sauce
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cups Ricotta cheese
- 1 16oz package of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Fill a large pan with water and 1 tsp of salt and boil. Add the shells. Cook until the shells are tender. Remove the shells from heat and drain.
Next, take your ground beef, ground sausage, and onions and cook until brown. Place the meat mixture in a large mixing bowl. Add the Ricotta cheese, half the package of mozzarella cheese and half of the far of marinara sauce. Now add your salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning and stir. Add the spinach and stir again.
Take a spoonful of your mixture and fill each of the shells. Place them on a cooking tray or casserole dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the shells. Bake in your preheated oven, covered with foil for 45 minutes. Remove cover and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
