  • 4 C. fresh rhubarb
  • 1 C. fresh strawberries
  • 1 C. granulated sugar
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 C. water
  • 1/2 C. butter, melted

Slice rhubarb stalks into 4 cups worth of 1" pieces. Place fresh rhubarb and strawberries in lightly sprayed 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle sugar over fruit.  While still in the bag, mash up cake mix to reduce lumps, then spread over top of rhubarb/sugar. Pour water over entire mix, and then pour melted butter over all. Bake for 55-60 minutes in a 350-degree oven. Serve warm with ice cream
