  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce, cut crosswise
  • ½ cup croutons
  • 8 cherry tomatoes. Sliced in half crosswise.

First things first, we need to fry some bacon. Place your slices in a skillet and cook over medium heat. Flip your slices occasionally, until your bacon has reached its desired level of crispiness. This should take between 3 to 7 minutes. Once your bacon is done, move it to a plate and, once cooled, crumble or slice your bacon into small, bite-sized pieces.

Next, you need to create your dressing. To do this, beat together in a medium sized mixing bowl, your garlic, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. This can be done in a food processor if necessary. Once these first ingredients are combined, slowly add in olive oil and whisk until smooth.

Finally, combine your sliced lettuce, bacon bits, croutons, and sliced tomatoes in a salad bowl. Drizzle your dressing over the top and toss the salad to spread your dressing.
