  • 3 large unripened (green) tomatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • plain flour
  • corn meal
  • vegetable oil
  • salt

Slice your tomatoes horizontally, 1/4 inch thick. Set aside. Mix the corn meal and flour in a bowl. Whisk eggs with a pinch of salt in a separate bowl. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil. Sprinkle tomato slices with flour and dip them into egg batter. Then dip both sides into the corn meal and flour mixture. Fry each tomato slice in the skillet, waiting until golden brown to flip. Serve warm and with a side of ranch dip.
