  • 12 slices (1/2 pound) bacon
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 8 leaves fresh iceberg lettuce, full
  • 8 slices ripened tomatoes
  • 4 T. mayonnaise
  • 4 T. yellow mustard

Cook the bacon and once it is crispy, drain using paper towels. Toast the 8 slices of bread. Take 4 of the bread slices and spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on each slice. Spread 1 tablespoon yellow mustard on the remaining slices of bread. Place 1 slice of lettuce on top of each mayonnaise-covered bread slice. Place 2 slices of tomato on top of the lettuce. Transfer 3 slices of bacon on top of the tomatoes. There should be 3 slices of bacon per sandwich. Add a slice of lettuce on top of each layer of bacon. Place the rest of the mayonnaise-covered toast on top to complete the sandwiches and serve.
